Interpret zoning maps and pass upon disputed questions of lot lines or district boundary lines and any other questions of interpretation that may arise in the administration of this chapter
Hear and decide appeals from any order, requirement, decision or determination made by the Building Official/Zoning Administrator in the enforcement of this chapter as provided in GS Section 154.165
Grant in particular cases and subject to appropriate conditions and safeguards, permit conditional uses as authorized by state statutes
Upon application, the board may authorize in specific cases such variance from the terms of state statutes as will not be contrary to the public interest
