The purpose of this board is to provide a forum for citizen suggestions or concerns, to advise the staff on community recreation needs, and to make staff of the Recreation and Parks Department aware of and sensitive to public needs.
The Recreation Advisory Board consists of six at-large positions. Vacancies are posted to the county website and sent to the publication sunshine list as they occur. The Recreation Advisory Board reviews applications and makes appointment recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners.
Term lengths for public members are determined by the Commissioners at the time of appointment.
