Library Foundation

Foundation Logo Color (NOBKGD)The Library Foundation of Haywood County is a charitable, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization, incorporated in 1983 to receive funds to strengthen and expand our local public library system. An independent Board of Directors, selected to represent the diverse population that the library serves, governs the Library Foundation.

Mission

The Foundation’s mission is to work closely with library administration to identify needs the Foundation can fund, above and beyond basic services provided by the County budget and ongoing activities supported by the Friends of the Library.

Gifts

Gifts to the Foundation may be made in many forms:

  • Designated to a specific library location, collection, or function
  • A Pledge for a series of payments over a period of time
  • A single payment
  • Unrestricted

Types of Gifts

Gifts may be made in: 

  • A bequest in a will
  • Cash
  • Charitable trust
  • Real estate or personal property (Subject to Acceptance by the Board)
  • Securities

Checks should be made out to the Haywood County Public Library Foundation, Inc.

Volunteer
