Migrant Housing

Law

As required by NC G.S. 95-225.(c) for the protection of public health, this office enforces rules that establish water quality and water sanitation standards for migrant housing. In addition, per NC G.S. 95-225.(d), this office enforces requirements for the collection, treatment, and disposal of sewage for migrant housing.

The fee for a migrant housing inspection is $50 and a water sample of the well must be collected.

Upon passing of the inspection a Preoccupancy Evaluation Report of Drinking Water Supply and Wastewater Facilities for Migrant Housing will be provided to the Department of Labor Agriculture Safety and Health Bureau.
