    January 11, 2022, 9:00 AM - 9:15 AM

Bill Roland shares his memories of the 1940 flood in Canton. Bill was a young child during the two back-to-back 1940 floods. This is the first of a three-part series of narratives on flooding in Haywood County. Filmed in partnership with the Canton Area Historical Museum. Access virtual program beginning January 11 at and on Facebook. For more information, email Caroline Ponton, Canton Area Historical Museum, at or email Jennifer at or call 828.356.2561.
